1. Introduction
SalesTub Technologies Private Limited ("SalesTub," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our customer relationship management (CRM) platform and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and password when you create an account.
- Billing Information: Payment card details, billing address, and GST identification number (GSTIN) for invoicing purposes.
- Customer Data: Information you store in the Service about your customers, leads, contacts, deals, and business activities.
- Communications: Messages, support tickets, and feedback you send to us.
- Profile Information: Profile photos, preferences, and settings you configure.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use our Service, we automatically collect certain information:
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and unique device identifiers.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and the page you visited before navigating to our Service.
- Usage Data: Features used, actions taken, and time spent on the Service.
- Cookies and Tracking: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your browsing activities.
- Location Data: When you grant permission through our mobile application, we collect your precise GPS location (including latitude, longitude, altitude, and accuracy) to enable field visit tracking, route recording, and photo geo-tagging. We collect location data both when the app is in the foreground and, with your explicit permission, in the background during active field visits. Background location tracking is only active during field visits and stops automatically when a visit is completed. Location data collected includes start and end coordinates of visits, route waypoints, distance traveled, and GPS coordinates attached to photos captured during visits.
- Call Activity (Mobile App): When you call a lead, contact, or company from inside our mobile app, we record when the call started, how long it lasted, and whether it connected, together with any outcome and note you enter, so your organization can see it in its call reports. On Android, only if you grant the call log permission, the app reads the call log solely to find that one call placed from SalesTub; on iOS, the app observes the call while it is in progress, which needs no permission. We never read or upload any other calls, and we do not upload phone numbers from your call log. You can decline the permission and report the call result yourself.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third parties, including:
- Email Integration: When you connect your Gmail or Outlook account, we access emails for lead capture functionality as authorized by you.
- Calendar Integration: When you connect your calendar, we access event data for activity logging.
- Payment Processors: Transaction confirmation and billing details from Razorpay, Stripe, or other payment providers.
- Analytics Providers: Aggregated usage analytics from services like Google Analytics (website only).
- Meta Platforms (Facebook & Instagram): When you connect your Facebook Page to SalesTub, we receive lead information submitted through your Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads forms — such as the name, email address, phone number, and other answers provided by the person submitting the form — together with related ad, form, and campaign identifiers. We access this data through Meta's APIs as authorized by you and use it solely to create and manage leads in your CRM.
- WhatsApp Business Messaging: When your organization uses our WhatsApp integration, we receive and process messages sent to your business's WhatsApp number (including the sender's name and phone number) to provide conversation history, notifications, and lead capture in your CRM.
- Crash & Performance Diagnostics: Crash reports and basic diagnostic data from Sentry, used solely to detect and fix stability issues in our mobile and web apps. This data is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

4. Data Storage and Security
4.1 Data Location
Your data is stored on secure servers located in India and managed by our cloud infrastructure partners (Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services). We may process data in other locations as necessary to provide the Service.
4.2 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit using TLS 1.3
- Encryption at rest using AES-256
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- Access controls and authentication mechanisms
- Employee security training and background checks
4.3 Location Data Storage
Location data collected through our mobile application is stored securely in our cloud infrastructure and is associated with your organization's field visit records. Real-time location data during active field visits is transmitted via encrypted channels. Location data is retained as part of your visit history for as long as your account is active.
4.4 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Portability
You can access and export your data at any time through your account settings. We provide data export in standard formats (CSV, JSON).
6.2 Correction
You can update your account information through the Service. Contact us if you need assistance correcting other data.
6.3 Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data. Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
6.4 Marketing Communications
You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.
6.5 Location Permissions
You can enable or disable location access at any time through your device's settings. Disabling location permissions will prevent field visit tracking, route recording, and photo geo-tagging features from functioning. The core CRM features of the app will continue to work without location access. You may also choose to grant only foreground location access and deny background location access, in which case location will only be captured when the app is actively open on your screen.
6.6 Cookies
Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our Service.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.
8. International Data Transfers
If you access our Service from outside India, your information may be transferred to and processed in India. By using our Service, you consent to such transfer and processing.
9. Browser Extension
The SalesTub CRM Browser Extension for Chrome is a companion tool that lets you capture leads and contacts into SalesTub from any webpage, with optional additional features for sellers on IndiaMART.
9.1 What the Extension Reads
When you open the extension's popup or use the right-click "Add selection to SalesTub" menu item, the extension reads the title, URL, and visible text of the page you are currently viewing, solely to pre-fill a new lead or contact for you to review before saving. It does not read or monitor pages in the background outside of these direct actions.
9.2 What the Extension Stores on Your Device
The extension uses your browser's local storage ("chrome.storage") to keep you signed in and remember your preferences on your device, including:
- Your SalesTub authentication tokens, used to authenticate the extension against your existing SalesTub account — the same account you use on app.salestub.com.
- Your auto-reveal and filter settings for the optional IndiaMART features described below, and a daily counter of how many contacts have been auto-revealed.
This locally stored information is not shared with any third party and stays on your device.
9.3 Optional IndiaMART BuyLeads Features
If you are a SalesTub customer who also sells on IndiaMART, the extension offers two additional features that are both off by default and only run while you are signed into your own SalesTub account:
- Auto-reveal: automatically clicks "Contact Buyer Now" on your own IndiaMART BuyLeads feed as leads scroll into view, up to a daily limit you set, so you can capture the revealed contact into SalesTub yourself.
- Filter enforcement: keeps your BuyLeads feed sorted and filtered to the location(s) and categories you choose.
Both features operate entirely within your own logged-in IndiaMART session in your browser. They do not send IndiaMART page content to SalesTub's servers — only the lead/contact details you explicitly choose to capture are sent, in the same way as any other lead you add through SalesTub. You can disable either feature at any time from the extension's settings, and no automation runs after you sign out of SalesTub in the extension.
9.4 Removing the Extension
You can uninstall the extension at any time from chrome://extensions, which removes all locally stored tokens and settings from your browser.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
